Apple is offering 90-day free trials of its Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X software. It’s the first time the company has ever offered this, and it happens to arrive not long after Adobe made Photoshop and InDesign free for students.

The free trial is especially useful for students who have to stay home for classes during this particular time of the coronavirus. Final Cut Pro X is used for making and editing video clips, while Logic Pro X is meant for producing music. Those who want to operate Final Cut Pro X will need a Mac that’s at least updated to macOS 10.14.6. Other requirements include a minimum of 4GB of RAM and 3.8GB of available disk space. People who are already using an older version of Final Cut Pro will also be able to use the free trial version for an additional 90 days.

Head over to Apple’s website to download the free trial.
